What the Free tier includes

Every registered account starts on the Free tier at no cost. Free members get full read access to every public guide and news article on the platform. You can browse all content, bookmark guides, follow other members, and participate in the community forums. You can also publish your own free guides — content you write is hosted and distributed to all visitors without any subscription. Free members can book one-on-one mentorship sessions from Pro and Elite mentors whenever those tiers launch, paying only the mentor's session rate, not a platform subscription.

The one thing Free accounts cannot do is offer mentorship themselves or publish premium (paid) guides. Those capabilities require a Plus or Pro plan respectively, and they will go live when paid subscriptions open to the public.

How the 85% revenue share works

Pro and Elite creators keep 85% of every dollar earned from premium guide sales. The remaining 15% covers payment processing fees (Stripe charges approximately 2.9% + 30 cents per transaction) plus platform operating costs including hosting, AI tooling, and editorial infrastructure. There are no monthly sales minimums or thresholds before you start receiving your share — the first dollar you earn triggers a payout.

Mentorship session revenue works differently: mentors on Plus, Pro, and Elite tiers keep 100% of their session fees. Mentors set their own hourly or per-session rate and receive the full amount minus the Stripe processing fee. The platform does not take a cut of mentorship income.

Payments and billing

All payments — both subscriptions and guide purchases — are processed by Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment processor. vybecoding.ai never stores credit card numbers directly. Accepted payment methods include all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover), Apple Pay, and Google Pay. Stripe's Link autofill is available for returning customers.

Subscriptions bill monthly on the same day you first subscribed. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time from your billing dashboard at /dashboard/settings/billing. Upgrades take effect immediately with prorated credit for the unused portion of your current cycle. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period so you keep your existing benefits until then.

Refund policy

Subscription fees are not refunded for partial months — if you cancel mid-cycle, your plan remains active until the period ends and no charge is made the following month. One-time guide purchases are also generally non-refundable once you have accessed the content, since the material is delivered immediately. If you encounter a technical problem that prevents you from accessing a guide you purchased, contact [email protected] and we will resolve it or issue a refund at our discretion.

How guide publishing works

Guides on vybecoding.ai are structured multi-section documents covering a technical or practical topic in depth. They are not blog posts — each guide includes a learning outcomes section, multiple lesson modules, and optionally code examples or project walkthroughs. Free tier members can publish guides at no charge; those guides are available to all readers for free. Pro and Elite members can set a price on their guides, making them premium content that readers purchase individually.

Submitted guides go through an editorial review before appearing publicly. The review checks for accuracy, completeness, and formatting. Most reviews complete within 24 to 48 hours on business days. You will receive an email notification when your guide is approved or if revisions are requested.
